Why would I want/need to have a prescription compounded?
If you need a specific medication, a certain medication strength, dosage form or flavor that is not commercially available then your medication must be compounded. Compounded medications still conform to FDA regulations.
Why can’t my regular pharmacy compound my prescription?
A compounding pharmacy uses specialized state-of-the-art equipment, chemicals and advanced techniques to ensure quality products. Other pharmacies do not have the time, education, chemicals or equipment needed to custom-make your medications.
